Richard Razza, CCIM, CFA, is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Webster Financial, a $75B commercial bank headquartered in Stamford, CT. He is responsible for managing the bank’s $8.0B+ Agency and Non-Agency commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) portfolios that includes fixed and floating rate securities along with commercial real estate (CRE) CLO’s. CRE CLO securities have become a focus for Rich over the last 20+ years and his portfolio at Webster has at times reached over $1.0B. Rich is also responsible for the bank’s $1.0B Municipal Bond portfolio. Rich joined Webster Financial in 1999, after a career with CIGNA and Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMO) and since that time has grown the bank’s exposure to these asset classes from $100MM to over $9.0B+. He holds the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and holds an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Connecticut. Rich is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut teaching three courses annually: Fixed Income, Introduction to Investments and Derivatives and Financial Management. Rich currently serves on the non-profit Board of the CFA Society Hartford as its President and is the out-going Chair of the Investment Grade Bondholders Forum for CREFC. Personally, Rich is married to his wife Angela and has two children, Julianna and Alessandra, and they live in Watertown, CT. His hobbies include golf and karate and he is a second-degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do.
