Upcoming Congressional Hearings

This week, a number of hearings are being held by the Financial Services and Tax Committees. As covered above, a House Oversight subcommittee also will have a hearing on commercial real estate.

Tuesday, April 30

• House Ways and Means Committee hearing on “The President’s FY2025 Budget Request and Treasury Green Book” with Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen at 10:00 AM.
• House Oversight and Accountability Health Care and Financial Services Subcommittee hearing on “Health of the Commercial Real Estate Markets and Removing Regulatory Hurdles to Ensure Continued Strength” at 2:00 PM.
• Senate Appropriations Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee hearing on the FY2025 Housing and Urban Development budget at 2:30 PM.

Wednesday, May 1

• House Financial Services Committee hearing on “Merger Policies of the Federal Banking Agencies” at 10:00 AM.
• House Appropriations Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee hearing on the FY2025 Request for the Department of Housing and Urban Development at 10:00 AM.

Thursday, May 2

• Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee hearing on “Higher Prices: How Shrinkflation and Technology Impact Consumers’ Finances” at 10:00 AM.
