Volunteer Opportunity: First Step Program Corporate Day

The CREFC Women’s Network Community Outreach Committee is proud to partner with Coalition for the Homeless to support their First Step Job Training Program – a transformative initiative that helps low-income and homeless women in NYC gain the skills, experience, and confidence needed to secure living-wage jobs. The First Step Job Training Program provides participants with essential office and professional skills through an innovative 14-week curriculum, including computer training, job readiness workshops, mentoring, job placement assistance, and post-graduate support.

The First Step Job Training Program provides participants with essential office and professional skills through an innovative 14-week curriculum, including computer training, job readiness workshops, mentoring, job placement assistance, and post-graduate support.

Join us for an in-person Corporate Day in NYC, where CREFC Members can make a direct impact by volunteering as mentors to provide:
  • Resume Review – Help candidates refine their resumes to highlight their skills and experience
  • Mock Interviews – Conduct practice interviews and offer valuable feedback to build confidence and job readiness

This is a meaningful opportunity to give back, support women on their path to financial independence, and make a difference in our local community.
