Brian P. Lancaster President The Minot Group LLC and Adjunct Professor of Finance, Stern School of Business, New York University Brian P. Lancaster is currently President of The Minot Group, a consulting, education and investment firm focused on the real estate capital and fixed income markets. He also teaches in the MBA program at the Stern School, New York University. He was formerly Managing Director and Co-head of Structured Transactions Analytics, Risk and Strategy and Head of CMBS, MBS, and ABS Strategy at RBS. Prior to joining RBS, Brian was the Chief Investment Officer in the Real Estate Division of Wells Fargo/ Wachovia, Head of Structured Products Research at the same company and a Managing Director Principal at Bear Stearns. He was also Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Bank of England. He has been voted to Institutional Investor All America Research team for several years and named the best CMBS analyst by Real Estate Finance and Investment magazine. Brian graduated with an MBA from New York University, a Masters in Public and International Affairs from Columbia University where he was an International Fellow, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from MIT. He is currently an Executive Board member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, a Governor of the Board of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and Editor in Chief of CRE Finance World magazine. He has published several books and numerous journal articles and taught capital markets courses in the MBA program at Columbia University. Dan Bober Executive Vice President Wells Fargo Bank With over 31 years experience in the commercial real estate mortgage industry, Mr. Bober currently acts as the Head of Operations of WFB’s Commercial Mortgage Servicing (“CMS”). CMS is the world’s largest commercial real estate servicer, with a portfolio of approximately $435B. .Mr. Bober has been with Wells Fargo since 2001. From 1994 to 2001 Mr. Bober served as President of Bloomfield Acceptance Company and Managing Member of Bloomfield Servicing Company, managing all facets of direct and indirect commercial real estate lending, mortgage banking and servicing. This included relationships with 14 institutional investors and GSE’s and a conduit program that contributed in excess of $1 billion to over 18 CMBS pools. Under his management and his negotiation of acquisitions and mergers, annual originations grew from $146 million to $514 million with a servicing portfolio of $1.2 billion. He created procedures, documents and credit policies for new loan programs and negotiated for the sale and/or participation of commercial real estate loans in the secondary market. Edward Glickman Executive Director of the Center for Real Estate Finance Research New York University Stern School of Business Edward Glickman is the Executive Director of the Center for Real Estate Finance Research and Clinical Professor of Finance at New York University CRE Finance World Winter 2014 24 Stern School of Business. Professor Glickman has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate and financial services industry having been previously employed as President, COO and Trustee of the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT). Prior to PREIT, Glickman was EVP and CFO of The Rubin Organization, EVP and CFO of Presidential Realty Corporation and an investment banker with Shearson Lehman Brothers and Smith Barney. Professor Glickman is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, a Certified Treasury Professional and a Registered Securities Principal. He serves as Executive Chairman of FG Asset Management and as a senior advisor to Econsult Solutions, Inc. He is Board Member of the Temple University Health System, The Fox Chase Cancer Center and The Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson University. He was formerly a member of the Real Estate Roundtable where he was the Co-Chair of the Homeland Security Committee. He is a 1978 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Management and Technology Program where he earned a bachelor of science in Economics degree from the Wharton School and a bachelor of applied science degree in Bioengineering from the College of Engineering and Applied Science. In 1981, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. John Mulligan Managing Director White Mountains Advisors LLC John Mulligan is a Managing Director and CRE Debt Portfolio Manager at White Mountains Advisors LLC. Prior to starting at WMA in January 2013, he was a Managing Principal, head of Credit, Risk & Asset Management and a member of the investment committee of FundCore Finance Group LLC. Prior to co-founding FundCore in August 2009, Mr. Mulligan was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch from 2001 through early 2009, where he was responsible for Merrill Lynch Mortgage Lending’s syndication efforts in the U.S. as well as pricing and managing the group’s commercial mortgage whole loan risk. He was also a member of the group’s credit committee. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Mulligan ran the CMBS trading desk at Prudential Securities for five years. He was responsible for secondary trading, whole loan pricing, and new issue distribution. During the three prior years, Mr. Mulligan ran the CMBS research area as a Vice President at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Before moving to Wall Street, Mr. Mulligan spent five years at Prudential Mortgage Capital in various capacities including mortgage lending, asset management, and buying/issuing CMBS. He is currently a member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council’s Board of Governors. Mr. Mulligan is a CFA, with an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Economics from Brown University. Joshua Seiff Director – Multifamily Capital Markets Fannie Mae Josh joined Fannie Mae in 2004 and currently runs their Multifamily Trading Desk.
