Bio
Eric Thompson is a Senior Managing Director who serves on KBRA’s Executive Leadership team and oversees the Global Structured Finance Group. The group encompasses ABS, CMBS, RMBS, Structured Credit, and REIT ratings. Eric brings over 20 years of structured finance experience which he leveraged, along with his senior CMBS team, to develop KBRA’s offerings in the Real Estate sector.
Prior to joining KBRA in 2011, Eric was a managing director and lead analytical manager for U.S. CMBS surveillance at Standard & Poor’s (now S&P Global Ratings). He started his career in the accounting and corporate finance field.
Eric is an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) and previously served as Chair of the organization’s Executive Committee. Eric is also a member of the Structured Finance Association (SFA).
Eric received a B.S. in accounting from Rutgers University and is a former CPA.
