Bio
Bob Behal, CFA, is a principal in Vanguard's Fixed Income Group. In his current role he co-leads the Structured Product Investment team, responsible for managing the investment strategies for asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations, and non-agency mortgage-backed securities sectors across Vanguard fixed income funds. He is also the co-chair of the Vanguard’s Global Credit Strategy Committee. Mr. Behal holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® certification. He earned a B.S. in ceramic engineering and an M.B.A. in finance from Rutgers University. Mr. Behal has also served on the Structured Finance Association Board of Directors.
Before joining Vanguard, Mr. Behal worked for AllianceBernstein, Oppenheimer Funds, Inc., and MetLife Insurance Company. In these roles, he was responsible for research, analysis, and portfolio management across a wide range of structured products.
