Wayne Ip is a Senior Director on Fannie Mae’s Multifamily Capital Markets Trading Desk, bringing nearly 25 years of capital markets and structured products expertise to the organization. In this role, Wayne leads the desk’s day to day trading activities across both the primary and secondary Agency CMBS markets, with responsibility for trading, structuring, and distribution of Fannie Mae’s flagship Multifamily MBS (DUS®) and GeMS® REMIC programs.
Wayne oversees all facets of new issuance structuring and marketing for DUS and GeMS REMIC transactions, ensuring best in class execution for lenders and robust, transparent products for investors. Under his leadership, the trading team provides critical liquidity to Fannie Mae’s Multifamily lender and investor base through active market making, security pricing, and portfolio solutions. A key driver of investor engagement and market growth, Wayne plays a central role in deepening investor participation across the Multifamily securities franchise.
Previously, Wayne served as the Head of Agency CMBS Trading & Structuring at Mizuho Securities, where he led the development and execution of Agency CMBS trading strategies. Prior to Mizuho, he traded Agency and Non-agency MBS at Deutsche Bank and Banc of America Securities.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
