Bob Foley retired in December 2025 from TPG Real Estate where he was a partner and served as CFO of TPG RE Finance Trust, Inc. (NYSE: TRTXC), a direct lender to institutional CRE owners throughout the US. Bob is now a senior advisor to TPG Real Estate, which manages > $20B AUM and is part of TPG (NASDAQ: TPG), a global alternative investment manager with ~ $300B AUM. Bob's previous experience includes: Sixth Street Partners, a $115 billion AUM special situations platform formerly affiliated with TPG, where he directed credit-based investment activity in U.S. commercial real estate. Previously, he was a co-founder, chief financial officer, and later chief operating officer of Gramercy Capital Corp. (NYSE: GPT), a hybrid REIT with debt and net lease investments throughout the U.S. later acquired by Blackstone; co-head of high yield commercial real estate debt investing for Goldman Sachs & Co.’s special situations group; senior capital markets and principal investing roles with Bankers Trust Company (since merged with Deutsche Bank); and audit and management consulting roles with Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte LLP) in San Francisco. Bob is a former chair and current member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of CREFC, a long-time member of ULI and current chair of UDMUC Silver, and a member of many real estate trade groups. Bob earned B.A. degrees in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is a certified public accountant (inactive) in California.
