Bio
Eric Rothfeld is a Managing Director and the head of Fitch’s Commercial Mortgage New Issuance Rating team, overseeing strategic and credit responsibilities for a team of 40 analysts located in New York, Chicago, and Toronto.
With over 25 years at Fitch, Eric is responsible for analyzing a wide range of CMBS transactions, including conduit, fusion, single asset/single borrower, single-family rental, small balance, and Freddie Mac. Most recently, he has led Fitch’s efforts in the expanding CMBS data center market. Eric is also a key contributor to the creation and review of rating criteria for all CMBS product types and the publication of relevant research on these markets.
Eric earned a BA in Economics from Columbia University in New York.
