Lisa Papes is a Managing Director of the Special Servicing Group of C-III Asset Management (C-III) with 32 years of commercial real estate experience including 30 years in commercial real estate loan workouts. Ms. Papes returned to C-III in March 2010 as a Portfolio Manager overseeing the CDO/Fund Special Servicing Group with the responsibility of transferring the special servicing and asset management for the $2 billion portfolio from the New York office to the Irving office. She subsequently became a Portfolio Manager overseeing a CMBS Special Servicing Group with the responsibility of effectively and efficiently resolving distressed assets of varying size, secured by collateral across the U.S. Before returning to C-III, she was a Strategic Consultant with the Global Finance and Debt Products group of Alston & Bird LLP from 2008 until March 2010. In this capacity, Ms. Papes provided asset management and workout consultation on structured real estate transactions (debt and equity) to firm clients. Ms. Papes was initially with C-III from 2001 through 2007, directly involved with the start-up of the Special Servicing. Before leaving to join Alston & Bird, she managed the CMBS Special Servicing group and assisted in the oversight of the Affordable Special Servicing group. Papes has a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Finance from the University of Nebraska.
