As Senior Vice President and National Production Manager with KeyBank Real Estate Capital, Clay is actively engaged in the sourcing, origination and securitization or sale of permanent loans originated by Key. Current responsibilities include CMBS, Life Company Placement and FHA Underwriting/Processing. In this role he is responsible for managing relationships with life companies and pension funds for which KeyBank sources loans as well as the origination and pooling of loans to be securitized. He is actively involved in the securitization process, having contact with both the rating agencies as well as bond buyers. In his role of Director of FHA Underwriting he supervises the processing and pricing of all FHA loans as well as commitment purchases.
KeyBank has been one of the largest bank providers of real estate financing in the country over the last decade in interim and construction as well as permanent financing. For 2012 KeyBank is on track to originate over $6 Billion in real estate financing with more half of that being the permanent loans consisting of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS and Life Company Placement.
Prior to joining Key, Mr. Sublett was Executive Vice President of National Realty Funding (NRF) which was acquired by Key in January 2000. Mr. Sublett was a founding member of NRF and served on the NRF Credit Committee.
Mr. Sublett was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. degree in Economics.
